#whatkellyeats

From Korea to New York, bonding over food has been a big part of my life. Those moments with family & friends were savored and well documented, whether it was cooking up a recipe at home or dining out at up and coming restaurants. Then to share my love for food along with some traveling adventures, #WhatKellyEats became to be!

Foodie Adventures Begins!

So, I have been asked to make a food blog for some time now. I have a tendency to get a bit excited when it comes to tasting/trying good food (#asianstakingpicturesoffood). I am finally putting all my food photos in good use! So, stay tuned monthly food posts here! I'll write some reviews about the place and what I tried and such.

BARN JOO
Korean + American fusion! Of course with some delicious fusion-drinks too.

Recommendations:
BJ Wings, L.A. Kalbi Udon, Crispy Calamari and Goose Island India Pale Ale Beer / Fresh Apple Makgeoli

FABIANE'S CAFE & PASTRY SHOP
Great for coffee & desserts. Spacious yet cozy, cute and playful ambience.

Recommendations:
A regular cup of Coffee and some Biscotti. My friends also recommends their Tarts & sweets.

IZAKAYA MEW
Great Japanese place with perfect meal portions. Also great ambience, design + decor of "underground feel."

Recommendations:
Omu Soba (Yaki Soba + Omelette) and MEW Special Roll (Spicy Tuna + Salmon + Avocado).

PIES 'N' THIGHS
BUTTER. BUTTER. BUTTER. Mmmmf.

Recommendations:
Make sure you ask for their Butter to eat with the biscuit - it's quite rich and sweet, just how I like my butter. Just make sure you eat the biscuit with the butter before you eat anything else. The Fried Chicken Box is alright, but it just a bit salty for my preference, but overall tender and savory. My friends' recommendations: Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich and Fried Catfish Sandwich.
